Don’t throw it out!

Do you find yourself throwing out food each week?  On average, each Australian wastes 178kg kilos of food every year!  I try to limit food waste in our house by shopping for food 2-3 times each week so I only have to buy food to last a couple of days.  Any fruit or vegetables that are leftover go into a juice, soup or casserole.  Or to the worms…  Many people only have time to shop once a week so the food they buy needs to last longer and remain as fresh as possible.  Here’s a helpful article explaining the best ways to store your fruit and vegetables (without using plastic!)
